The school is holding a poster competition for the pupils to design safety posters - some will be displayed on the school gates.
There will be a prize for each year group
All entries to be handed to your class teacher or the school office by Friday 8th November. We can't wait to see your designs

We are delighted to announce that we, New Road Primary and Nursery School, have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year. This is a huge achievement and the highest possible award from the Youth Sports Trust!
On 9th May Mrs Williams and Mrs Bowden took some children from New Road to the Joan Mann Sports Day event in RAF Mildenhall.
The Education Inclusion Family Advisor team offers a range of countywide online workshops. We welcome any parent/carer with a child/ren in primary schools. The transition workshops are facilitated by the EIFA team and a member of staff from the Child and Family Centre.
Years 3 & 4 have been on their residential trip to Grafham Water
Stephen Barclay MP met pupils from Park Lane and New Road Primary and Nursery Schools to launch their Book Swap. Once a month pupils bring a book to school to swap with a friend. Our aim is for every child to have a new book of their own once a month.
Some of our pupils from years 4, 5 and 6 travelled to Birmingham to take part in Young Voices 2024
New Road School raised a fabulous £248.50 for BBC Children in Need November 2023. Thank you all for supporting this wonderful cause.
On Saturday 13th January 2024 some of our pupils took part in the the town's annual Straw Bear Festival.
