Mr Litten will be writing a weekly newsletter, with the aim to share with you all that is good about our school and its children.
Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils,
Canoeing, Cake Baking, Disco’s and our Year 6 residential! We have an amazing newsletter!
We Love a Disco
The Spring Disco was a huge success. It was great to see children doing the conga, staff joining in, and all the fun that can be had with great music and a bag of crisps.
A huge thank you to the staff and Friends of New Road for making this event a successful fund raiser for the school. We look forward to sharing with you how much was raised very soon.
Red Nose Cake Sale
We love this picture but there was not room to share it last week! Reception and the teaching team worked hard to bake and decorate hundreds of cup cakes for Red Nose Day.
Children really enjoy being kind and helping other people. It helps them to feel great about the wonderful person they are growing up to be.
Fund raising is so much more than raising money. It helps children to develop compassion and kindness for other people and to appreciate all the good things their families provide them.
Caythorpe!
Year 6 had an amazing time at Caythorpe, in Lincolnshire. Residentials are the best of times - one big sleepover with all your friends and the opportunity to ‘dig deep’ and try new things like canoeing, rock climbing, and high-ropes.
A huge thank you to the staff who enthusiastically volunteered for this trip. Lots of happy memories were made!
The term dates and a list of future dates are below. We are working on our final summer term dates and should be adding these next week.
Kindest Regards,
Mr Rob Litten
