Years 3 & 4 have been on their residential trip to Grafham Water
Day 1
Settling in was fun, everyone is really happy with their rooms and who they are sharing with. The accommodation is very clean and modern, with amazing views of Grafham Water.
What a busy first day. Group one did archery and indoor climbing and group two cycled 6 miles around Grafham Water. After dinner (cottage pie or pasta) we made survival shelters and camp fires in the dark, dark woods.
Hot chocolate followed by bed. No tears , but lots of chatting and joking about.
Today we are power boating, orienteering, and going on the high ropes ( the posts are taller than New Road School).
We hope to go to the gift shop this evening and then do some team building games.
All this after a hearty breakfast and the dreaded room inspection!!!!
We truly are having a wonderful time, lots of happy children!!!

Day 2
An incredible day. You should be so proud of your children. Their behaviour has been amazing and they are credit to you!
Climbing walls and the high ropes were among the big challenges today and these were faced down with grit and courage.
Bedtime was slightly earlier than yesterday, after an evening of team games , hot chocolate and a hot shower.
Your washing machines will be busy tomorrow night I’m afraid … but it was worth it!!
We really hope they have lots of happy memories to share with you tomorrow.
