School’s out! Thirteen weeks of the year most schools close their doors to the children and communities they serve.  Half terms and holidays can be great fun, but at times they cause problems for working parents who need child-care, parents who need a daily break from their children to feel well, and parents who struggle to entertain their children at home.

In recent years New Road and Park Lane schools have provided holiday clubs at very affordable prices.  The clubs focus on a variety of sports and are managed by the schools’ PE lead Janette Bowden.  Janette is passionate about sport and was recently voted Whittlesey’s sporting personality of the year.
