This week we take a moment to celebrate our school’s incredibly proud moment of being awarded the Platinum School Games Award and our amazing poets in Deer’s class. Thank you for supporting our school and its staff.
Platinum Award
New Road Primary been given a rare accolade, the School Games Platinum Award, for two years in a row.
The School Games Platinum Award recognises schools that have excelled in physical education, sports leadership, and competitions.
The award is only given to schools that have achieved the Gold Award for four consecutive years.
As you can imagine we are incredibly proud to have been awarded the prestigious School Games Platinum Award.
This recognition honours our unwavering commitment to delivering an inclusive, dynamic, and competitive sporting environment for all our pupils.
Published Poets
When children from Deer’s class entered their wonderful poems about snails and rivers, little did they realise that they would be published.
The class had really enjoyed learning about and writing cinquain poems in their English lessons. The poetry competition was the perfect opportunity to be proud of what they had written in school!
